differs for all levels of setup and grip, too wide of a variety to put a chart by imo. how much hp do you make and how well setup is the car?

Somewhere a little under 300 guaged off what I've driven before. 225s seemed to have absolutely no grip out back of my car. Although, I did do a hasty string alignment before the events so I'm not sure how spot on it was. Did appear to have more camber wear than anticipated so a real alignment is in order before I take it out again. Curious as to what is going to work best out back. Thinking of taking a set of 245, 255, 265 and see what the car likes best.

for your power range i'd stick with a 225/235 and try to keep my tire selection consistent. play with pressures and find what you like. your suspension, once properly setup, can get more out of those tires than you think they can.

I'm still a noob and learning, but FWIW

500 wheel
265/35/18 Federal 595, 28 psi hot pressure
-1.0* rear camber, 0 toe

They didn't chunk and wore great and evenly, but I let them cool down after like 2 runs each time since I needed to let the engine cool down anyway from it being so crazy hot out

Mine is not ideal.  Mine is extremely WRONG. But, I cant adjust camber in the rear right now.

205/55/16
-3.5* camber (retarded)
If I was actually able to make the boost when drifting, it would be 500whp.  But since I only hit around 6-9psi, its around 350whp.

Ill be changing to as large of a tire I can find, and plan on running 0* camber.  But the largest I can fit is more than likely a 245/40/16 or maybe a 45 series

Time to mad max flare it and fit some fat tires to put that 2J to work!

Trying to stay with 16" tires, and the widest I can fit is 245/45/16.  But thats so much better than what I've got!  Should make a noticeable difference going up to that size.  I think the camber is the biggest culprit though =/

This is correct. If you don't have the rubber on the ground, it doesn't matter how much you have.

You can always stretch a tire. What is the widest WHEEL you can fit, is the question. What size wheels are you running right now?

I'm running 16x9 et15 front and rear. Stretched 205s right nnow, should be using either 245/45 or 225/45 next time.  I've found some camber correction kits for the rear that need to be welded to the subframe but only provide 1.25* of correction. Ill probably just need to raise it up more and live with it being 2x4

I would choose 245's just so you get as much surface area as possible with that much rear camber. Is your suspension bottoming out at all during transition with your current ride height?

I havent really noticed if it has or not.  Only ill effects ive noticed is the rear camber being so pronounced and losing a ton of rear grip.

Wish you were here in Houston! I would definitely try and find a well known RACE shop to do corner weighing and a real alignment. Not a machine alignment at any old Firestone, etc. I think you'll be surprised at how much rear grip you will get back + the 245's.
