LS1 swap on my S13 questions....

I had a daft kit. Had to beat the crap out of the tunnel to get it in and the headers didnt fit right. Not only that but it took months to come in.

I went with Hinson over the Granny kit, mostly because I didn't like the "cradle" idea. Both trans mounts from them suck haha, so I just bought the engine mounts and am going to fab my own trans mount.

lol true that aaron but mine as well go big and to step up with the big boys! i work for a steel company "irwin steel" so fabricating and welding isnt going to be an issue, now mounting and wiring might! unless i find a good mechanic idk if my mexican mechanic i got knows how to do that... a co-worker got rear ended not too long ago and is selling his engine and transmission off his 99 truck. he said its a 5.0 will that work for me? he is asking 600 for it, has 140k...

5.0? If it is a Chevrolet, it is either a 4.8 or a 5.3. If it's a 4.8, forget it haha.
