General Discussion / Re: title hearing vs. bonded title

yup. my insurance company said $50 to bond thru them, so if you're insured check w them first as you might save some $$. all the forms are available online so you can have them filled out when you go to get your shit titled.

FYI bond company wanted to charge me $350 for all this. lol.

did that include all the forms and fees for the state required to get plates and stuff too? my gf's maxima was like $350 but there was extra BS and the car was valued more.

time to get off my ass and get the wagon legalized so i can drive it or do whatever.

i have been researching for a while and even though the car didn't cost me much, most bonded title processes look like it would cost me like $250-300 to get it done. i also heard about a title hearing which apparently costs more like $60 and requires less paperwork.

i've never done this, any of you guys have experience? i contacted a couple title service places but they don't want to just tell me how the process goes when they could charge me to do it, and calling the clerks at the tax offices is a dead end too, lol.

i'll see your Honda jacket and raise you a Toyota:

your stache is plenty creepy though so good for you. living in corpus has its bright side. tourist industry means you get a good mix of no-commitments girl action every year.

yeah, check apache imports on mansfield highway, and there's also one at the yard across the street from them. both should be easily accessible if you make it down here.

There are quite a few x8's in the yards in Fort Worth. dunno if that helps you in OK but I imagine there are fewer available where you're from.

I like his Toyota shirt :) Later in life, I plan on getting back into a Formula Mazda. It was some of the best wheel to wheel racing and everyone in the SCCA is a blast!

OT but have you been out to Cresson recently? Moses Smith is building cars out there for the series. Pretty cool guy and we got to watch one of the newer Renesis cars make some laps and check out the older tube frame cars as well.

FYI - stay the fuck away from kart #11 if at all possible. Last weekend this thing had a wicked pull to the right and understeer was ridiculous. Faster karts were #6 and #14, I think.

Weather looks clear, high of 65 and sunny. 1pm should give them enough time to dry the track if theres anything left from today.
