sorry for the lack of updates, the motor and transmission went in rather easily,

shortened the driveshaft myself

cleaned up the engine and did some basic maintenance (tbelt water pump cam crank seals etc)

got it all into place

then had a bunch of wiring to do, I will probably end up doing an extensive write up on the wiring after I button up the last couple things (stock nissan cluster wiring)

the majority of the wiring took me 2 weeks to figure out (the neutral safety switch was the problem) finished the last few details at 3 am before our local corpus drift event.  car ran great, and im in v8 heaven.

hope you enjoy, and big thanks to all the texas guys that came from houston, SA, and the valley

a little update, got the ka out and off to its new home (a datsun 1600 roadster) while waiting on my swap kit goodies (flywheel clutch trans adapter ring and throwout bearing) I picked up a used sparco seat for $50

So its been quite a while since i last posted,

At my first and only drift event so far ( @ GGP) I had a blast, and toasted some tires, and lost oil pressure, turned out only to be a broken oil pump.  Fixed the oil pump and have been having troubles keeping the ka-t reliable (running a SAFC2 please keep the flaming to a minimum lol)
I got my wheels powdercoated for bro-pricing :)

since then i stumbled upon a great opportunity, I traded my ka (no turbo accesories) engine and trans for a 1990 lexus ls400 which i tore apart and sold the car and ended up with this

tore it apart and did the Tbelt, water pump, cam n crank seals, rear main seal, and re-sealed the upper and lower oil pans

Selling my turbo goodies and the donor car practically paid for my transmission adapter plate, flywheel, clutch and odd throwout bearing, and now im just cleaning up my bay for a fresh coat of paint.

I know people like picture heavy posts, enjoy

I feel like I may need some fundamental drifting help at my next event, my strategy is "right foot down"
